Biddy Basketball

The Farnam Biddy Basketball program is an instructional and competitive basketball program for boys and girls ages 7 to 14.  Our goal is to help children to develop a love for the game and encourage them to respect both themselves and their teammates.  Practices and games begin in November and games are played Thursday evenings and on Saturdays throughout March.  All players are expected to attend practice once a week for one hour.  All coaches are volunteers and we appreciate their time and commitment to the children.

Presently, we have three divisions: Training, Minor and Major Divisions.  Farnam staff will determine where kids will be placed and our emphasis is on what is best for each particular player.  Each player will receive a team shirt, trophy and a beautiful banquet at the end of the season which is held at Yale's Lanmon Center in April.  In addition to weekly games and practices, players can also participate on Saturdays between 9:00am and 1:00pm in both game room and arts & crafts activities.  Farnam offers special full day programs on school holidays and during vacations at a cost of $10 per day.  Members of the Biddy Basketball Program can also take advantage of this program.  

Players, parents and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times.  Anyone who chooses to act inappropriately at practices or games will be asked to leave the premises.  We have zero tolerance for foul language and unsportsmanlike behavior.
