After School Program

The Farnam Neighborhood House presents our popular After School Program. This program is designed to promote personal growth through an array of social and recreational programming including homework help, team sports, arts & crafts, game room, field trips, dance & drama and more for boys and girls ages 7 to 12.

AFTER SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

Registration

Registration for the After School Program begins on September 7th and will continue until September 17th.  You can register your child by calling us at (203) 562-9194 or in person at the Farnam House at 162 Fillmore Street in New Haven. Please remember that parents must make arrangements with your child's school and the Transportation Department at the Board of Education of New Haven located at 54 Meadow Street in New Haven.  The telephone number of the Transportation Department is (203) 946-8418.

Fee Schedule:

Annual Membership is $35.

Daily Cost is $10 per child.

Extended Hour (5:00pm-6:00pm) is $10 per week.

Holidays and Vacation Days are $10 per day or $50 per week (lunch, snacks or drinks are not included)

October 27th - Amistad Performance

October 29th - Harvest Time

November 23-24th - Holiday Baskets Distribution

Rules and Regulations

  • At the time of registration, parents and children will be informed of our behavior policy.
  • Children will be asked to participate in a series of surveys throughout the year.  These surveys are from the United Way of Greater New Haven which is an ongoing supporter of Farnam's After School Program.
  • All emergency and medical information must be accurate and up to date.  In addition, you must pre-register and provide a permission slip for full day programming and field trips!
  • Please list all family members or friends who are authorized by you to pick up your child.  If someone comes to pick up your child that isn't on the list, they will NOT be allowed to leave with your child - NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Under no circumstances will be your child be allowed to leave the building after they arrive.  They will only be allowed to leave if they are going home.
  • The Farnam Neighborhood House is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • We suggest that you send a healthy snack with your child, specially to eat while here are Farnam.
